Charles Jones is part of IDI (Independent Distributors Inc) and is located throughout Ontario, with offices in: Nanticoke, Cambridge and Stoney Creek. IDI Supplier Summit 2011
Commonwealth Oil attended this year’s IDI Supplier Summit in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We got to meet with our amazing distributors throughout Canada and also meet with some very promising potential distributors in the IDI Group. We would like to thank everyone for taking the time to meet with us, but also- IDI for hosting this event. Though it was mostly raining in Halifax, we still got to enjoy amazing food, good sights and cultivate mutual relationships. Here is some snapshots from our trip:
Dave, Fred and I infront of our meeting room. The IDI Supplier Summit is set-up so we get to ‘speed date’ with current and potential distributors in the form of 20 minute meetings.
We enjoyed a delicious banquet dinner and live band at Pier 21, downtown Halifax.
One of the 7 Core Pillars of IDI is ‘Community’, this being said, IDI’s members & vendors contributed to many worthy causes at this IDI Supplier Summit. There was a new record this year, with a total of $23,181 raised for various charities, including The Canadian Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Hope Foundation, MS Society, JD Wyatt Vanderhout, Lukemia & Lymphoma Society and Weekend to End Breast Cancer! Since the inception in 2006, a total of $102,449 has been raised for charity! This is truly an amazing group.

Training Seminar and Trade Show in GTA
0Commonwealth Oil will be holding an open-house training seminar and trade show at the Holiday Inn in Brampton on May 19, 2011 from 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. A detailed schedule will follow, but attendees can expect to meet-and-greet with 
key Commonwealth Oil staff, including President Fred Herdman, Lab Technician Brian Lowe and Marketing Co-ordinator Jackie Macera. Sales Manager, Dave Foster will be they key speaker, talking about everything from Lubricants, Metalworking Fluids, EDM Fluids, Hydraulic & Gear Oils to Food Grade Lubricants and Biodegradable Products. Distributors can expect major announcements about incentives and customers are welcome to take part in the training portions.
